SEATTLE, WA (Dec 9)

Braving rain and wind, Seattle activists held a day of solidarity with Iraq war resisters inside the military. The Dec. 9 action was held in coordination with national days of action on Dec. 8-10, with actions in Hawaii, Portland, San Francisco, Olympia and elsewhere.

Activists in Seattle handed out brochures highlighting local resisters Ehren Watada, Suzanne Swift and Kyle Snyder. Activists collected hundreds of anti-war postcards to be hand delivered to pro-war Democratic senator Maria Cantwell. An anti-war Santa posed with holiday shoppers.  The action was sponsored by Stand Up Seattle. Participating organizations included the ANSWER Coalition and Veterans for Peace #92
