VANCOUVER, B.C. Canada PDF Print E-mail
On Sunday December 10th, Vancouver War Resisters Support Campaign organized a public action in solidarity with Courage to Resist to support GI Resistance and GI Rights. We will did a street poll at the Art Gallery - Robson St. side, asking people whether they support War Resisters to stay in Canada. The spot that we picked had other groups out for Int'l Human Rights Day. We handed out
leaflets on how to support the War Resisters and got people to vote on the question "Should Canada be a refuge for U.S. War Resisters?" 99% of the responses were an enthusiastic "YES!". We will definitely do this again as it is more interactive than just handing out leaflets.
