Anderson, Darrell PDF Print E-mail

ImageArmy Specialist Darrell Anderson, 24, served seven months in Baghdad in 2004, witnessing frequent abuse and killing of Iraqi civilians. He refused redeployment and fled to Canada, saying “ I believed it was my human right not to kill innocent people.” He was released from the military in October, 2006 with an “other than honorable” discharge. “By resisting,” he said, “I feel I made up for the sins I committed in this war.”
