Letters and petitions
Collect signatures and simply send the completed forms back to us. We'll mail the letters to Canada, and send the signer a thank you note. Actual returned signed letters and petitions will be hand delivered to the Canadian Consulate in San Francisco. Send completed forms to: Courage to Resist, 484 Lake Park Ave #41, Oakland CA 94610.

Three letters will be separately addressed and sent featuring your name and address as the sender—example letter. Your donation allows us to verify you as a legitimate signer. Suspect, eligible, or signature without a valid postal addresses may be discarded.
Appeal signers will be added to the Courage to Resist national e-newsletter which is distributed 2-3 times a month (archive)—each includes a fast and painless unsubscribe link. Appeal signers will receive a thank you letter from Courage to Resist, and possibly a response from one or more of the Canadian officials. Courage to Resist will not share or sell signers information with anyone.
This campaign has been initiated in collaboration with War Resisters Support Campaign (Canada)—they have done great work both supporting U.S. war resisters and making sanctuary a national issue in Canada. It's time for those of us living in the United States to step up to support our troops taking refuge to the North. |
